My name is Risa, since I was a child I loved art, and then in high school I was appointed as the Head Makeup Artist for the drama department and theatrical productions.

In the mid-90's I was certified in bridal makeup and enjoyed making brides feel beautiful on their special day.  During those years, I was also an Independent Beauty Consultant (for a very pink related company), which taught me practices in high standards for hygienic makeup application and cleanliness.

But, as life would take me in another direction, I became a professional event planner and certified wedding consultant and have owned Romanza Events for over seven years.  My tandem company, The ParTea Planner is where I enjoy designing upscale tea parties.  I've accomplished many goals and have the privilege of being featured in several magazine publications for weddings and events that I've produced.  Because of my experience with event planning I have worked with the industry's top vendors in the OC/LA/SD area and can provide excellent referrals to accompany your event.

 

I began face painting to help out with my children's elementary school and preschool fundraising efforts, but was pleasantly surprised how enjoyable (and discovered how addicting) it is!   To really learn this form of art,  I have participated and Chaired/Coordinated workshops from some of the best in the biz: Mark Reid, Jinny the Makeup Artiste, Lynne Jamison, Marcela Murad, Jodi Carr, Gary Cole and the Wolfe brothers.
